About me

Rex Zengbin ZHOU, an active member of the International Association of Conference Interpreters (AIIC) since 2018, is a seasoned freelance interpreter specialized in financial services, trade and economics, technology, antimonopoly law and arbitration, business school executive programs, energy, fashion and film. Having served top-tier financial institutions, technology firms, international organizations, universities and professional services firms, Mr. ZHOU has worked alongside many academic luminaries, celebrities, and iconic leaders in government and business in his 23-year career. Prior to becoming a freelance interpreter, Rex was a principal interpreter for the Chinese Ministry of Commerce (2002-2013) where he supported state leaders and ministers in bilateral meetings, multilateral conferences, state visits and trade talks. He received his BA in Economics and Management from the Shanghai International Studies University in 2002 before undergoing conference interpreter training in 2004 through the EU Directorate for Interpretation (SCIC) program as part of a cohort of 10 interpreters from China. In 2011, Rex earned his MBA from the University of Cambridge as a Chevening Scholar.
